I'm alive! Yeah, I didn't get crushed by the 3,000 people crowd on Within Temptation's show in my hometown
First, me and my dad went to pick up , who came for accreditation for taking photos during the show. When we arrived, my dad parked our car almost literally next to WT's bus... a guard came to us and told to drive away, but it wasn't like "what are you doing here people?! get the hell outta here!" but he was quite... hm... let's call it: flegmatic next thing I did was going with Alintjes to pick her accreditation, but next guard guy was loutish for us... and for our unluck, we had to encounter him once more at the end of the day...
we came at the venue about 1,5 h later. We were one of the first 15-20 people to get there, so we were standing almost at the very beginning. But the 3,5h of waiting was very, veeeeeery hard... especially for me. I thought I was going paranoid back there while the last 15 minutes before the gates to the venue were opened. I did a flag for the band, and at the beginning there was a problem with it... the guard asked, what was written on it and took it away. He of course gave it back to me, but I didn't manage to get into the first row, but to the second. After the whole show, I must say it's a bit uncomfortable, especially when people standing in front of you are taller... but that's not the case
After the next 1,5h of waiting - inside the venue - the support act started it's show, Triggerfinger. At the first 2 songs, it was simply boring. But the guys started to get going a little bit later, so at the end I enjoyed their show Finally, when Mother Maiden movie was shown on the big screen, first there was a squeal, then breaking silence... and again squeal, when Mike, Martijn, Jeroen, Ruud and Stephan entered the scene I'll never forget Sharon's entrance, when a curtain with WT's phoenix logo from The Unforgiving was draw apart... the rest of the show was incredible. Though I think I'll enjoy it much more if I'd get into the first row and had everything right in front of my eyes, it's still as great performance as Epica's show was last year. Maybe even better? I'm not sure yet, time will tell But after Within Temptation, I have a strange feeling that I have some kind of, I don't know... let's say "stamp" for guitarists Do you remember when I described my highlight from Epica's concert? If not, I'll write again: me and my dad had seats, and I went down to the main hall where the stage was to enjoy a show more. I stood at the very end of the crowd and started to headbang, while Isaac saw me and pointed at me to came closer. First I was too shocked to understood that he really pointed at me, but later I went exactly to the point, where Isaac showed me, and it ended up with the fact that I had one of the best places almost under the stage on WT there was similar situation: though it was almost like a fight for me to saw anything on the stage, Stephan - the guitarist who's replacing Robert on the live shows - was looking at me almost all the time when I managed to put my head a little higher to be visible and you know the result? He threw his pick right into my direction! But, as always, I didn't catch it. Same with Ruud's, but the truth is that he threw his pick a little further than Stephan and not right into me
After the ending, first I was waiting at the hall. But the guards shoo-ed us away, to the "entrance" hall. After some time, guards shoo-ed us away again. When me, my dad and Alintje were going into the direction of our cars, I started to think: "it'd be a unfilled day, I didn't get the photos and the signs..." and then I saw a little crowd formed at the gate of the backstage. I was like: "aren't they coming there?" and then me and Alintjes were running into that crowd for my luck, there wasn't any of the band members there... but just when I took out my camera and The Unforgiving booklet "the guitar trio" - Ruud, Jeroen and Stephan - came to us So I get first three signs and first three photos
A little later, Mike, and then Martijn came. Not so long then, a guard - the same who was soooo loutish for me and Alintjes while we went to get her accreditation - was driving a car with Sharon! If only you could seen this... People, who were standing and talking with Jeroen, immediatiely turned away and ran with squeal after the car I managed to give the flag with the signs right into her hands with the help of Alintjes, I must say, because if she wouldn't open her mouth, I'd be standing 'til the half of the people would go away
So that was my third fanshow... and I'm waiting eagerly for fourth! I thought it was going to be Amorphis show (Nov. 6, Cracow) or Amon Amarth (Nov. 25), but I decided it's a nonsense if I don't like them as much as I like (or maybe even LOVE ) those bands which shows I've already attended. Now I'm thinking about Tarja in Warsaw, but I'd like to see Nightwish in Prague on April 30. It's a very favourable date for me, because there's a three-day holidays and they're combined with school-leaving exams, so it means I have free days from school since the exact April 30 to May 10, I think. I came out with an idea, that on Monday I'll see Nightwish, and the next day and maybe one day more me and my parents will be sightseeing the city, to unite something pleasant with something useful. Y'know what I mean - something pleasant would be Nightwish's show, and something useful would be these sightseeing, so my parents wouldn't reject this idea of going on a show to the other country just for one day.
Okay, I end this post here, as it's far tooooo long, as always
